ただいまです。昨日、エジプトから帰国しました。さすがに疲れました。
We're back! We arrived from Egypt yesterday.... I'm totally exhausted.
１７日木曜日出発。朝早く、成田には７時半には到着。余裕をもって Duty Freeを見てから乗ろうと思いましたら、並ぶ列を間違い・・・チェックインするのにちょー時間がかかり、コーヒーすら飲めずに飛行機へ。今回は Korean Air. Seoul 経由のフライトがソウル・タシケント経由になってしまいました。タシケント！？どこだろう・・・と思い、ネットで調べました。ウズベキスタン！ほーって感じでした。長いフライトでした。成田から１８時間後かな？やっとエジプトへ夜の８時半ごろ到着。次の朝が早いので夜はすぐ寝ました。
We left really early on Thursday morning (17th). We arrived 2 hours before our departure. I thought there were would enough time to look at the duty free store and have some coffee and what not, but lined up at the wrong place.. and ended up taking forever to check in. No time to shop or drink coffee! Our flight was originally Tokyo - Seoul - Cairo, but ended up being Tokyo - Seoul - Tashkent - Cairo. Felt like we were on the plane forever! Finally arrived in Cairo around 8:30pm.
１８日から２２日は紅海。シャルムエルシェイクへ行きました。
泊まったホテルはロシア人が多く、全部のサインには英語とロシア語が書いてありました。日本人はうち以外１組。ほかのアジア人はいなかったようだった。ロシア人、アメリカ人、イギリス人がいました。
土曜日の夜はバギー＆ベドウィンディナーでした。５時にホテルにピックアップでしたが・・・５時半になっても来ない。エジプトなので・・・まーこんなもんかみたいでしたが、コンシエルジュが電話をしている・・・車に問題があるとのこと。本当だろうか？結局６時過ぎに向かえが到着。砂漠らしいところへ。スカーフを巻いて、バギーに乗りました！アクセルは親指で押すので簡単だが、疲れる～！！ディナーはまーまーでした。ベドウィンのダンスとかありました。
シャルムへ着いて４日目に熱が出て、寝込んでました。予定していたスノークリングもしょうがなくキャンセル。（T-T)
From the 18th through the 22nd we were at Sharm el Sheikh. This is a resort area on the Sinai Peninsula. We stayed at a hotel with no Japanese tourists. Actually there was another family there, but that was it. The rest were Russian, English, Americans... All the signs and menus were in English and Russian!
Saturday night we rode buggies. (is that how you spell it?) Wore this scarf around our head and face! As you can see in the picture my shirt is covered in dirt.
I ended up getting a fever on Monday. Stayed in bed all day and had to cancel a snorkeling trip that we had reserved. Talk about depressing!!
水曜日はルクソール。なんと朝６時のフライトだったので３時起きでした。
ちょーーー暑かった！シャルムも暑かったけど・・・なんと日陰で４０℃。帽子と日傘を使っていたが・・・まじ暑くて、外で歩くのが辛かった。
Wednesday woke up at 3am and headed to Luxor on a 6am flight. It was so hot. It was 40 degrees in the shade!!!
最初は West Bank側。あっち行って、こっち行って。王家の谷、ハトシェプストの葬祭殿。お昼を食べて、東岸へ。ルクソール神殿。カルナック神殿。暑くて、ゆっくり歩けなかった。結局フライトの３時間前ぐらいに終わり、ホテルのロビーでぼーっとしていた。
First it was the West side. Checked out the Valley of the Kings, mortuary temple of Hatshepsut. Also saw the Colossi of Memnon. Ate lunch and then it was to the East side. Temple of Luxor and Karnak. It was too hot to walk around slowly and take pictures so we ended up finishing really early. Stayed at the lobby of some hotel for about 3 hours until our flight!
木曜日はギザ。やっとピラミッド。今回は中に入りました。人数が少なく、スイスイと中へ入れた。スフィンクスもみたし。そして、一番古いピラミッド、サッカラへも行きました。
夜はナイルクルーズ。ベリーダンスのショーとまたベドウィンディナーと同じダンスがありました。
Thursday we went to Giza. Finally saw the pyramid. Also went to Saqqara which is the oldest pyramid, I think.
Dinner for that night was on a cruise on the Nile. There was a belly dancer and a bedouin dancer. Also singers as well.
で、金曜日は帰る日。空港の入り口が人でいっぱい。何かと思ったら、なぜか人を通してない。チェックインができない！！そして、何人か無理やり入り込み・・・そしたらみんなが入ろうとして・・・ちょっと大変なことに。なんなんだー！って感じ。無事チェックインして、飛行機に乗れました。
Friday was spent on the plane. Ate breakfast and headed for the airport. It was very crowded. There were people at the entrance to the airport! For some reason they were not letting people in so we couldn't check in. Eventually some people tried to get through... and then more people started to push to get through... it kind of got crazy. Finally we got through the security and checked in. Things went smoothly once we were inside..ery hectic trip. Except for the two days in Sharm el Sheikh. Lots of lounging around the pool.... That was nice. Lots of moving around a lot and hectic schedule, but it was fun!!
Anyway, sorry for the very short description of the trip. I want to write more, but... it gets to be a pain! Maybe I will try to be more specific later...? Maybe I should have written one entry a day instead of trying to write it all at once, huh?
Got work tomorrow! AAaaaahhhhh.... I hope I will be able to survive. lol.
ま、とても忙しい旅行でした。でもシャルムではゆっくりできたか。プールでのんびり～。あっち行って、こっち行って、移動もめちゃくちゃ多かったけど、とても楽しかった。
なんか、旅行の内容書くのって大変だ！最初は書く気はあるが・・・だんだん書いていくうちになくなってしまう。トホホ。１日を１エントリーにするばよかったかも。
明日は仕事か。がんばらなくては！
